So, what are the steps to becoming a medical office assistant?

1. Make the decision to become one.

Committing to a new career is scary and exciting. Ask yourself a few questions to make sure that medical office assistant jobs are the right move for you.

Are you compassionate and enjoy helping others? Do you enjoy organization and working with record-keeping systems? Are you comfortable with the human body and all its quirks?

Be sure to talk with anyone already working in the field. They’ll be able to answer your questions and give you real insight into what the job is like.

    • Bookkeeping and medical transcription
    • Clinical and medical office procedures
    • CPR and standard first aid techniques

AOLCC offers two program choices, and it’s important to know which is best for you.

The Medical Office Assistant program provides you with the job-ready skills you need to be fully qualified to work in administrative and clinic support roles in the medical field.
